Vasteras SK fought really well on a hard away trip to first placed Varnamo but couldn’t leave with some points in their pocket. They are in the relegation zone and are in urgent need of a victory. The year started with high expectations, some had talked about claiming to the top 5 places, but however, their inherent weaknesses quickly became apparent and began to lose ground in the standings. GAIS come to a great victory in the derby against Orgryte. They were left behind in the 16th minute, but lucky in the 89th minute, they took the victory with an own goal by Orgryte. With the third game without defeat (2 wins and 1 draw), they climb out of the relegation zone and look forward with optimism. Coach Stephan Jacobson will have huge problems because two main defenders Grozdanic (22/0) and Andersen (20/0) are suspended, while Maric (13/2), Aberg (11/1), Kargbo (11/0), Ibrahim (3/0), Harvey (2/0), and Alexandersson (2/0) are injured. Vasteras will need to attack from the first minute and I think that we will watch an efficient game, similar to their mutual matches at Iver Arena.
