Sixth-placed Varaždin lost in Rijeka 1:3 in the last round, while last-placed Gorica, after a miraculous turnaround, achieved a 5:4 victory over Istria in 1961 in stoppage time, but still the team from Velika Gorica has seven points less than penultimate Šibenik. Varazdin didn’t have the best start to the second part of the season with 4 defeats in the last 6 games, and today they will be without suspended David Puclin (16/0) and Lamine Ba (13/0), while Fran Brodic (24/8) and Igor Postonjski (8/1) are doubtful.
