Recap
Sepsi had a poor performance in the 2:0 defeat by Farul ConstanÈ›a. They were completely harmless offensively, didn’t create any clear chances and had serious problems in the defense. At home, they are in really good form undefeated in the last 7 games (5-2-0) in all competitions. The Appeals Committee has set a new deadline until Wednesday for the decision of the match against U Craiova 1948, where Sepsi expects to get the game on „paper” due to irregular behavior of the opponents fans. Today, key players Tudorie (26/7) and Tamas (11/0) are back in the team. CFR Cluj fairly won against UTA Arad. Due to suspension coach Dan Petrescu will not be on the bench, Birligea (20/1), Burca (18/0), and Debeljuh (4/2) are out of the squad, while Malele (18/4) is doubtful. Both teams are financed more or less by Hungarian capital (especially Sepsi), and this is the penultimate round in the regular season. Sepsi is leading an uncertain fight for 6th place with U Craiova 1948 with +1 point. In the last round, Sepsi traveled to Steaua in Bucharest, which is a hard away match for them. Steaua has close relations with U Craiova 1948, and for sure they want to help them to qualify. I think that Cluj is interested to give the three points to Sepsi, with which they will secure their place in the playoffs, and them Sepsi to give them back the favor in the playoffs, where Cluj will lead a big race for the title with Farul Constanta and Steaua.
