Nitra is fighting not only for rescue but also for survival as such. For several months there are big problems in the club, and information leaking from the club to the public suggests that the atmosphere is deteriorating day by day. Currently, it looks like Nitra’s players have reportedly not received a paycheck for three months in a row, which gives them the opportunity to resign from the club according to the applicable rules. They released five players from the A-team last week. They were already missing during Saturday’s home loss to Senica. According to informations, these players are Andrew Vrabel, John Ferletak, Ole Käuper, Kilian Pagliuca, and Ramzi Ferjani.
The first instance of licensing authority (POLK) didn’t grant Nitra a license to start the next season of the Fortuna League and European Football Union (UEFA) 2021/2022 club competitions. The reason is that the minimum requirements for infrastructure and criteria for financial licensing have not been met. Until May 12, 2021 (concluding), the club has the right to appeal the decision of the POLK to the appellate body of the licensing procedure (OOLK).
Before two weeks, Senica celebrated away to Nitra with 0:3, and expect another comfortable win in the fight for survival in Fortuna League.
