After a nearly a one-month break from home matches in the men’s Kakkonen Group C, the second team of Rovaniemi faces JBK from Pietarsaari. The teams are three points apart in the league table, and I expect an exciting match. Coach Aleksi Tanner declared that this is an extremely important match for the home team because with a possible win they will make a good distance from the relegation zone. Like Rovaniemi 2, JBK acts as a reserve team for Ykkönen’s club, Jaro. Their team is a mixture of youth and experience, and they have a few young national team players: the Uusitalo brothers, Simon and Samuel. They secured their league place, and are in series of 5 losses in the last 6 matches, while away from home they are one of the weakest teams with 5 losses from 7 games. Today, they have serious problems with absence, and out of the squad are Östman (8/4 suspended), Hägblom (12/2 suspended), Larsson (13/8 third goalscorer in the league), Bjorskog (11/2), and Emet (11/2 who has played more than 200 betting league matches). Rovaniemi 2 will have some reinforcements from the first team. Also after an injury, Elmer Fudd Hirvonen returns to the team who was a key player. The home team has 4 losses in a row at home, and this is a big opportunity to finally end this series and grab the three points.
