The main goal for PSV was participation in the Champions League groups, but were eliminated in the play offs by Rangers. They drew 2:2 in Glasgow, but lost at home with 0:1. This season started with winning the Dutch Super Cup against Ajax and in the Eredivisie, they counted four consecutive victories until last Saturday, where they lost by Twente with a score of 2:1. Due to injuries, out of the squad are captain Luke de Jong (2/1), Oppegård (2/0), while long term absence are Madueke, Boscagli and Mauro Junior. The European journey for Bodo/Glimt started from the first qualifying round of the Champions League, having won the Norwegian championship last year. They eliminated Klaksvik, Linfield, Zalgiris, but in the play-off, fell against Dinamo Zagreb, after an extra time in the second match. In the Norwegian league, it seems to be throwing in a „white” towel regarding the battle for the title, as in its last match, they were crashed at home by the leader Molde 1:4. Coach Kjetil Knutsen has a headache after top scorer Amahl Pellegrino (19/19) was injured in the match against Molde, while Moe (11/1) and Solbakken (8/1) are long term absence. PSV have proven that they can create many goal opportunities and score a lot of goals, while Bodo/Glimt looks tired and disappointed after the crash from Molde. With the absence of Pellegrino, things become even more difficult, and expect PSV to grab a comfortable win.
