Povzaska Bystrica is the current leader of the Slovak Division C, with 26 points. They are currently in great shape, with the effect of 8 wins and 2 draws. In the last round of the Cup, they eliminated Dubnica, the current second league team, with the result (2:0), and now they have a much more difficult task against first league team Zilina.
In the last round, Zilina struggled in the cup with another third division team, Jednota Banova, where they only managed to eliminate them on penalties. In addition, they will not be able to count on several players from the U19 team in this match. Adrian Kaparlik (8/1), Jambor Timotej (8/3), Patrick Leinter (8/2), and Belko Lubomir (3/0) travel to Greece with the U19 team for the first match of the UEFA Youth League against PAOK. Coach Pavol Stano also stated that he has injury problems because Paur (5/1) and Fazlagić (7/0) are out.
All in all, the home team had a great start to the new season in the cup as well, where they eliminated the second division team in the last round. On the other hand, Zilina comes without a few players. There is certainly a difference in quality, but I think that Bystrica can resist and certainly have a great motive to make a surprise in this match.
