Recap
PAOK B returned to his official playing duties in the best possible way, crushing Panathinaikos B 1:4 in his most emphatic victory away from home. This was the first win after three consecutive defeats, but they are still in 2nd place, playing a super season with the best offense in the league. Coach Garcia has two key players Morichelli (10/0) and Balomenos (6/0) back in the squad, while the only absence are Smyrlis (8/0), Kitsakis (5/0), and Talichmanidis (4/0). In the worst possible way, Makedonikos returned to their playing duties after the interruption of the championship, as he experienced a painful home defeat by Iraklis Larissa with 2:3. They are only +3 points from the relegation zone, without a win in the last five matches. Coach Amanatidis has additional problems and can’t count on Zannakis (11/0), Bulatović (7/0), and Bagola (4/0).
It’s strange that Makedonikos is favored against one of the best teams in the group. Both teams are from Thessaloniki, but I’m going against the dropping odds, and despite that, it’s the Greek league, where cooperations are possible, I think that the home side has enough quality to stay undefeated.
