Eintracht Frankfurt didn’t have an optimal start to the season. They are in eleventh place in the Bundesliga and started the Champions League with a 0:3 loss by Sporting Lisbon. Coach Oliver Glasner is increasingly frustrated by the mixed performance and is said to have let his anger run free in the dressing room several times. After the departures of Martin Hinteregger and Filip Kostic, the things are not going in right direction with only two victories in 8 matches in Bundesliga and Champions league. The defense in particular has been causing problems since the start of the season. In central defense, Tuta and Ndicka have not yet managed to provide the necessary stability. There is a lack of individual class on the outside positions. There are also concerns about injuries, and today out of the squad are Lenz (5/0), Pellegrini (2/0), Touré (2/0), Onguene and Buta, while Rode (4/1) is doubtful. Marseille could get the point in the premiere against Tottenham (2:0), but after the red card by Mbemba in 47th minute, they can’t resist the big pressure from the home side. For the first time in history after 7 games in Ligue 1, they have 19 points with 6-1-0. They are coming off a 2:1 win over Lille, and only absence are Mbemba (6/1 suspended), Bakambu (3/0), while Gigot (4/0) is doubtful. The French team is in great shape and I think that have enough quality to use the shaky atmosphere in the German team, and win the first match in the group stage.
