After a penalty in the 53rd minute, Mansfield lost at home by Barrow in the last round of League Two. This was their 8 consecutive matches without a win (3 draws and 5 losses). They didn’t start well in the EFL Trophy either, with the 3:1 away defeat at Harrogate, and 1:2 home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday last Tuesday. Coach Nigel Clough is forced to make a lot of changes because his team is depleted by injuries and suspensions. He can’t count on Gordon (6/0), Stirk (5/0), Perch (4/0), Nartey (2/0), Forrester, and Cooper due to injuries, while Quinn (6/0), Rawson (10/0), and Sinclair (4/0) are suspended. Oldham has huge problems in front of the season, due to the transfer embargo from the federation and injuries. They have won 2 out of the last 6 matches, but the situation with injuries is way better. Mansfield is totally out of form with plenty of players missing, and I think that Oldham is capable of stilling at least a point at Field Mill Stadium.
