Recap
La Rioja was really good last season, finishing in 5th place, securing a placement in the Europa League. They have a well balanced team with some quality reinforcements like Brazilian Thiago Ponciano, Egyptian Abdelmotaleb, Hungarian Palasics and Croatian Josip Zaja. They opened the season with a 29:32 away win against Morrazo Cangas, where they controlled the match, and had a +6 goals difference in the middle of second half.
Huesca is made up of young players, with an ambition to stay out of relegation battle (last season finished only 3 points above the red zone). Some key players like Arnau and Hackbarth left the team, and coach José Nolasco has some injury worries, because can’t count on main center back Ignacio Suárez, right back Óscar GarcÃa as wingers Charly Pérez and Gerard Carmona. They opened the season with a home defeat by relegation rival Atletico Valladolid (25-30), showing poor performance.
La Rioja is a team that is always fighting for the top positions with a really strong home performance. I think that this line is lower by 2-3 goals and will give a stake 10.
