Recap
After a small visit to the Veikkausliiga, KTP is now in Ykkönen’s promotion race, where with a possible three points, will be only on -2 points from 1st placed TPS. KTP’s game under the leadership of the new coach Jussi Leppälahti has slowly started to show results and now there are already six games without a loss. The previous two home games have ended in clear 4:0 victories, against PK-35 and Gnistan. Today, Mikkelin will face a really big challenge, because they come to Kotka with key absence. Due to injuries or suspensions, unavailable are midfielders Goljahanpoor (9/2), Tarvainen (7/0), defenders Holtta (9/2), Heimonen (9/0 suspended), and Nihorimbere (2/0). In the previous round, Mikkelin stopped the four-match winless streak (3 draws and a loss) when they beat JäPS by 1:4. Coach Juha Pasoja said that preparations have been hampered by illnesses, and will have a hard task to take some points.
