Grosswallstadt had 14 days to prepare for the opponents from Saxony-Anhalt during the international break and to get the injury worries under control. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out as expected. The injured Görkem Bicer, Jan-Steffen Minerva, and Dino Corak are now joined by Luca Munzinger, while Frieder Bandlow and Moritz Klenk were only able to participate in training to a limited extent due to muscular problems. Another serious factor is that the team was overwhelmed by a flu epidemic and therefore several players currently don’t have a doctor’s clearance for sports. So who will be in the team against Dessauer is still completely uncertain.
Dessauer is playing a great season and is currently in 4th place in the table with chances of promotion. Most recently against Lubeck-Schwartau they won by 28:27 and mistakes like those against Hüttenberg and Hagen can no longer afford.
