Recap
The Angolan team has an important match for the qualification for the CAN, but the hours that precede the match are not going as desired. The team led by the Portuguese Pedro Gonçalves is experiencing an authentic odyssey to reach Ghana. They finished mini-preparations in Algeria on Tuesday, then set off for Accra (Ghanaian capital), where it arrived this Wednesday at around 4 pm CET, and has been there for a few hours, trying to enter the country, a process that has proved difficult to resolve. The situation might not be so problematic if the game was in Accra, but the truth is that the match is in another city – Kumasi, which implies another plane trip of about two or three hours. However, the Angolan delegation may not be able to complete the route this Wednesday, given that the airspace will be closed at a certain time, which leaves Angola in bad shape and faced with the possibility of reaching the destination only on game day and with little rest in between. Additional problems for coach Gonçalves is the absence of three key players Núrio Fortuna (Gent), Zito Luvumbo (Cagliari), and Nelson Luz (Vitoria Guimaraes). Ghana is always a strong home side and with quality players like brothers Ayew, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Painstil, Denis Odoi can take an important victory.
