France finalizes their preparations for Euro 2020 when they welcome Bulgaria to the Stade de France for a friendly match. They easily passed against 10-man Wales winning with 3:0 in their most recent friendly match, while Bulgaria lost on the road with 1:0 against Russia. Didier Deschamp has been bolstered by the returns of Kurt Zouma, Olivier Giroud, and N’Golo Kante following their triumph in the Champions League.
It’s been over two years since Bulgaria last managed to win away from home, and have only one win from their last 14 matches in all competitions since the start of 2020. That was a 3:0 success over Gibraltar in a friendly match in November 2020. They lost midfielder Kristiyan Malinov after just nine minutes against Russia, and this is an additional problem for coach Yasen Petrov.
This is the last friendly match for France, and looking ahead to the Euros group of death with Germany, Portugal and Hungary, expect to crash the Bulgarians and rise their form to perfection.
