The North Macedonian national team U21 started the preparations for the qualifying matches against the Faroe Islands on October 7 and against Armenia on October 11 with huge problems in the team. Coach Dragan Kanatlarovski is facing problems due to the absence of key players Matthew Bozinovski and Stefan Colakovski, who were unable to arrive from Australia due to administrative Covid-19 protocols, while Agon Elezi and Enis Fazlagic are dropped out due to injury. The only good news is the comeback of Toshevski who is in nice form in Górnik Zabrze. France U21 failed to celebrate against the Faroe Islands in the last round. It is a team that plays good football, especially at home where is really hard to play in windy conditions and artificial turf. They also meet in the last qualifications in September 2020, when North Macedonia won by 1:2, but from that match, only two players are in the team (Antovski and Grozdanovski). I think that the Faroe Islands will give strong resistance and stay undefeated against this generation of North Macedonia U21, who is not capable to do anything in the fight for the first two places in the group.
