Dundalk is host to reigning champions and league leaders Shamrock Rovers at Oriel Park. The „Lilywhites“ slipped back down to seventh place after last Friday’s 1-1 draw with Finn Harps, a result which extended their winless run to three games. Shamrock Rovers currently sit at the top of the table and are unbeaten after 11 league games. They dropped points for just the third time this season with a 1:1 draw at home to Derry City last Saturday. The home side has problems with absence, and coach McDonnell can’t count on Daniel Cleary, Patrick Hoban, Brian Gartland, while Wilfried Zahibo and Sonni Nattestad are in doubt, after picking up knocks in training this week. Dundalk also has huge internal problems with finance and I think that Shamrock Rovers will have an easy season with total domination in the Premier Division.
