After the management of Celje decided to change the coach, it seems that they do the right thing. New coach Agron Shala resurrected the team with seven victories in the last eight games, and secure their place in Prva Liga, with a win against Koper in the last round of the championship. On the 16th of May, they crashed Olimpija Ljubljana at home with 4:0, and today they will surely want to lift the trophy in the Pivovarna Union Cup.
The green and whites have a varied trophy path behind them. They started it in the second round in Brežice, where they advanced after taking penalties. The quarterfinals in Lendava followed. There were no goals in the clash with Nafta after regular work and after extra time they qualify for the semi-finals, where they won against Domzale.
I think that we will watch an equal match with a lot of tension and I’m giving the edge to Celje, who is in tremendous form.
