Cameroon got off to a great start as they came from behind to beat Burkina Faso 2:1 in the opening round of Group A. They conceded a goal after a big mistake made by their goalkeeper Onana, and after that scored two penalties. In terms of quality maybe they have the worst generation, knowing that they produced top players like Samuel Eto’o, Patrick Mboma, and Rigobert Song. Ethiopia in the first match against Cape Verde played with a player less from the 12th minute and that ruined their system of play, but showed some potential. They are underrated in this group, because their squad is mostly made by local players. During the ACN qualifications, they surprised Ivory Coast at home and trashed Madagascar 4:0, while in the World Cup qualifications, they have two narrow defeats from Ghana and South Africa by 1:0. We saw that the main favorites in the first round had a lot of problems and we think that Cameroon will not have an easy “walk in the park”.
