Recap
Barcelona was a lucky one in the playoffs, as with the 2nd place they got, they played against the weak Zalgiris Kaunas, and „wiped” with three relatively easy victories and qualified for the Final 4 for the 3rd consecutive year. Barcelona are in great form, riding a streak of 11 consecutive wins in all competitions. The last one was on Sunday against Baskonia in Vitoria with 84-91, which gave them the lead in the battle for first place in the ACB regular season. The series with Partizan will go down in the history of the EuroLeague Playoffs for many reasons. Competitively, the „kings club” became the first team in the history of the Playoffs to come back from 0-2, even overturning a difference of 18 points in Game 5, while we will hardly forget the general conflict of Game 2. After the series with Partizan, they got two away wins in ACB against Valencia (68-79) and Gran Canaria (67-95), but coach Mateo can’t count on three key players Yavbusele, Deck and Poirier. As we saw in the series with Partizan, no matter how many problems Real Madrid have, they are always dangerous, but at the moment Barca are clear favorites for the final.
