Recap
Baleares is in full financial decline. The owner has been spending a lot and has decided to reduce the budget. That’s the main reason why they lost essential players like Olaortua (37/0), Dioni (36/14 top scorer), Laure (35/0), Sibille (32/0), Petcoff (28/0), Romero (23/1), De Vega Lima (22/0), Baro (19/2), Canario (18/2), Narro (17/1), Tropi (16/1), Kaxe (15/1), Nieto (14/5), Martinez (11/1), and Rene (11/0). The new players are really young and many of them came on loan. In the opening two rounds, they drew 1-1 at home against Algeciras with an equalizing goal in the 85th minute and lost away to Ibiza 1-0 in the last match.
Málaga is one of the biggest teams in Primera RFEF in terms of quality, budget, and history. They have a powerful attack with former Baleares top scorer Dioni, Fernandez Jaen (on loan from Barcelona), and Villodres (ex-Gil Vicente player). During the transfer period, they kept the core of the team and added some good players like Juanpe (Lugo), Monte (Dnipro), Molina (Zaragoza), Galilea (Istra), Sangalli (Cartagena), and many others.
In the opening round, they lost against promotion rival Castellon by 2-1, but celebrate at home against Athletico Madrid B. I think that have much more quality in their rank and are favorites in this match.
