Badajoz will seek promotion to LaLiga SmartBank. In order to meet the objective of promotion or, at least, fight for it, the Extremaduran team has announced the signing of Isi Gómez from UD Melilla, who arrives free and signs a contract for two seasons. The 25-year-old midfielder arrives from the Melilla team with whom he has played just one season, and has been an important player. They also sign quality players like Pardo (Ibiza), Zelu and Pérez from Logroñés, Torres (Extremadura), Truyols (AEK Larnaca), Benito (Valladolid), and Limones (Mirandés). In the premier against CF Talavera, they convincingly won by 2:0, while on the last match away to Celta Vigo B, they take a draw, but were the far better team. Internacional de Madrid will visit the Nuevo Vivero Stadium, with an imperative to grab at least a point. Coach Alfredo Santaelena will have almost his entire squad, with the exception of Kolderiu, who continues to have elbow problems, and Kenneth, who will miss his second game of the season due to an adductor problem. In the last two rounds, they won only a point at home against Zamora but were inferior.
The two teams are already well known, as this will be the third match in which both will meet in just half a year, after doing so last season in Second Division B, in the phase for promotion to Second Division. Badajoz beat Internacional de Madrid 0:2 at the Municipal de Villaviciosa and 1:0 at the Nuevo Vivero, and I think that will grab the three points because they are one of the best home teams in this division, and last season proved that with a 10-2-0 score.
