Recap
On Sunday night, Adana Demirspor was defeated away to Kasimpasa, and finished the match with 9 players. In the final minutes a conflict arose between a player and a member of the administration, but the issue ended with the intervention of the teammates. This was their first defeat in this year’s championship (2-2-1), and they are called upon to react immediately if they don’t want to miss the train of European places. Coach Patrick Kluivert has enormous problems with absences and can’t count on first goalkeeper Özbir (5/0), second goalkeeper Mahammadaliyev (1/0), defenders Rodrigues (5/0), Aktas, Abou Cisse, Feratovič, midfielders Stambouli (5/0), Akintola (3/0), Ndiaye (2/0), Zeneli (2/0), Shehu, Michut and striker Balotelli.
Easier than what the final 2-1 showed, Besiktas prevailed against Kayserispor on Sunday afternoon. They were better for most of the match, but unable to push the ball into the net in the 1st half. This win was important, because they immediately came back after a 3:0 defeat by Trabzonspor and with a victory in Adana, they will reach 3rd place. Due to injuries Fernandes (4/1) and Rebić (4/0) are out of the squad.
With so many absentees in Adana Demirspor, Besiktas are rightly favorites to win the match.
